What Is Scouting? The purpose of Scouting is to provide an effective program for boys designed to build desirable qualities of character, citizenship, fellowship and personal fitness through a local community organization.
Troop 136 has been delivering the Boy Scouting program to the youth of Epping for decades. We are chartered (sponsored) by the American Legion Post 51, and our Troop meets every Monday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. Our meetings are currently being held in the basement of the American Legion in Epping.
Any boy 11 years old, or one who has completed the fifth grade and is at least 10 years old, but is not yet 18 years old may join Boy Scouts. Scouting encourages diversity, and our Troop includes boys from all walks of life. You can join no matter the school you attend or your religious background.
